make caramel sauce:
- bring 1/2 cup butter to boil in saucepan, lower temp to med, add in 1/2 cup brown sugar + 1 tbsp milk of choice and whisk until thickens
- take off burner and let cool
banana bread:
- mash 3 ripe bananas in a bowl
- add in 1/2 cup softened butter + 1/2 cup granulated sugar + 1 tsp vanilla
- whisk in 2 eggs just until combined
- add in 1 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp all purpose flour + 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and stir
- slowly mix in 1/4 cup of the caramel into batter but do not over mix
- pour into lined loaf pan
- bake for 60-65 min at 350F or until toothpick comes out clean
- spread the remaining caramel on top, slice and enjoy!
