in a stand mixer, pour in 1 cup warm milk
whisk in 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast until bubbly
add in 1/2 cup granulated sugar + 1 tsp vanilla + 6 tbsp softened butter and stir all together
add in 4 cups all purpose flour and knead until it forms a ball
place in a large oiled mixing bowl and let rise for 1 hour or double in size
punch dough, roll out on a floured surface until about 1/2 in thick
using a donut cutter cut into donuts
re-roll dough to cut more and place on a lined baking sheet
cover and let rise while oil warms
* pour avocado oil in a large saucepan until 1/2-3/4 cup full and warm over medium heat for 5-10 min
add donuts 2-3 at a time and let cook for 1 min on each side (watch carefully so it doesn’t burn)
place on a wire rack and immediately roll around in a mixture of sugar & cinnamon (about 1 cup sugar/1 tbsp cinnamon)
