thaw a package of puff pastry according to instructions
preheat oven to 400f
lay out 1 sheet of puff pastry and cut into 8 even rectangles
spread apple butter or apple jelly/jam on top of each (about 1-2 tbsp)
cut up and dice 2 medium sized apples into small pieces and toss in cinnamon sugar
add evenly on top of each
cut the other sheet of puff pastry into 8 pieces, cut 2 small lines on top, and add each over of the apples
press down the sides with a fork
brush the tops with an egg/milk mixture (1 egg + 1 tbsp milk of choice)
sprinkle granulated sugar on top
bake for 23-25 min or until golden
icing: 1 cup powdered sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon + 1 tbsp milk
