cake:
preheat oven to 350F
mix together 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter + 1 cup granulated sugar + 1/2 cup dark brown sugar + 1 tbsp vanilla
stir in 1 cup buttermilk (room temp)
whisk in 2 eggs m
in another bowl, mix together 2 1/2 cup all purpose flour + 2 tsp baking powder
add to wet ingredients and stir just until combined
pour into oiled bundt pan and bake for 45 min or until golden and toothpick comes out clean
caramel:
melt 1/2 cup butter in a small sauce pan and add in 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
keep stirring over low heat until it thickens
whisk in 2 tbsp milk
remove from burner and allow to cool
poke holes all over cooled cake and pour caramel sauce on top
slice and enjoy!
