cream together 3/4 cup softened butter + 3/4 cup granulated sugar + 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
whisk in 1 egg
add in 2 1/4 cup all purpose flour + 1/2 tsp baking powder
mix well until a ball of dough forms
lightly flour a piece of parchment paper and roll out dough
place in fridge to chill for at least 1 hour (prevents cookies from spreading)
cut out using cookie cutter (I used a lid to make plain circle shapes)
keep rolling dough to cut out more (makes 30 cookies)
place on a lined baking sheet and bake at 350F for 10-12 min
icing: powdered sugar + milk of choice
