Ingredients
  • 3cups applesmeasured after peeling and dicing apples
  • 1/4cup water
  • 1tbsp organic cane sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple pie spicecan substitute cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Heat a skillet/pan over medium heat
  2. When warm, add the water and apples and lower heat
  3. Let it simmer and warm (stirring occasionally) until the apples are soft enough to mash, about 20 minutes
  4. Using a fork or masher, mash the apples to desired consistency (I like to leave small chunks but if you prefer a smoother applesauce, mash completely)
  5. Add the sugar and spice and mix well (add more or less to taste)
  6. Serve warm or cold and enjoy!
Recipe Notes

*I like to use a softer apple for this recipe because they soften a lot quicker and have a better texture

Store in airtight container in fridge or if you make double or triple store in freezer ziplocs/airtight containers and store in freezer
