Ingredients
- 3 cups apples measured after peeling and dicing apples
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp organic cane sugar
- 1 tbsp apple pie spice can substitute cinnamon

Instructions
- Heat a skillet/pan over medium heat
- When warm, add the water and apples and lower heat
- Let it simmer and warm (stirring occasionally) until the apples are soft enough to mash, about 20 minutes
- Using a fork or masher, mash the apples to desired consistency (I like to leave small chunks but if you prefer a smoother applesauce, mash completely)
- Add the sugar and spice and mix well (add more or less to taste)
- Serve warm or cold and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
*I like to use a softer apple for this recipe because they soften a lot quicker and have a better texture
Store in airtight container in fridge or if you make double or triple store in freezer ziplocs/airtight containers and store in freezer
